X Fix | Tough case, tougher solution

The X Fix is often used for difficult maxillofacial cases, these are common indications:

·   Mandible fractures associated with infection or in irradiated patients

·   Non Unions from gunshot wounds or tumors

·   Severely comminuted mandibular fractures

Titanium X Fix

The titanium X Fix option is very rigid yet very simple to apply. The preshaped bars can be used as is, or quick bends can be made with the roller bender to customize the shape.

Drill free pins and simple to use locking clamps connect the bar. It is a very quick and effective solution.

Acrylic X Fix

The acrylic X Fix is a well-designed update of older acrylic devices and improvised techinques.

The acrylic sets up in a metal tray while large diameter drill-free pins are placed. A series of lock-washers hold the mostly-cured acrylic on a threaded portion of the pins, and are finally tightened after further curing of the acrylic.
