Rotterdam Palatal Distractor

The Rotterdam Palatal Distractor has been developed for treating narrow maxillas in adolescent and adult patients. Its superior stability is based on the “lifting jack” principle. Thanks to its very low mounting width, the Rotterdam distractor can be used even for syndrome patients with maxillary narrowings of up to 10 millimeters.

Enormous widening without any need to exchange components

The Rotterdam distractor is fixed in place on the palate without any need for screws. Instead, pins are used that are wedged into the cortical bone for secure subcutaneous anchorage. This enables distraction lengths of up to 19 mm without any need to exchange components or the entire distractor.
