This device has been specially developed for reconstructing the resected or severely hypoplastic ramus. Its hallmarks are an extremely stable design and the optional retention plate enabling a long and patient-friendly consolidation phase.
The superior plate may remain in place, there is no need for difficult dissection into the condylar area to retrieve it.
Various Zurich II components and activators, available in different lengths, make intraoral activation possible or the activator may be accessed via a submandibular transoral placement during active distraction. Following this phase, the tip-detach activation arm can be removed easily for ideal - no external parts - solution for consolidation.
